Frequently Asked Questions

The Expo has always been two days in the past. Why is it only one day this year?

What we've heard from many of our attendees is that instead of an hour-long presentation on the full scope of each conservationist's program, they would rather have a more concise update of what has happened over the last year. From the conservationists' perspective, their time is very limited so they wanted to have more time to meet with their supporters. This is why we condensed the presentations to one day and added an informal setting on Sunday for more personal interaction between the conservationists and their supporters.

Why are there two venues at the Expo with simultaneous presentations? I can't hear all the conservationists.

We recognize that this is a frustration for many people. It was necessary to accommodate all the speakers within the one-day format. However, there's good news! ALL the presentations will be available on DVD shortly after the Expo. Please contact Stacey Iverson at Stacey@WildNet.org to order. DVDs are $15 for an individual DVD, or $50 for the complete set of four DVDs that includes each speech.

What happens after I send in my registration for tickets?

WCN will send you a confirmation letter with the Expo speaker schedule, a map to the event and parking, and your wristband tickets.

Can I buy tickets at the door for the Expo?

Yes, tickets can be purchased at the door on October 7. The price is the same as advance purchase tickets.

Is my ticket purchase a tax-deductible donation?

No, the Fair Market Value of the event is the face value of the ticket. However any donation made in excess of this amount is fully tax-deductible. 100% of designated donations to WCN-supported projects goes directly to the field.
